Like all of our waxes, our Zinc Wax may be applied directly over dry milk paint or one of our other waxes. We love it specifically over Trophy and Typewriter. It is lightly tinted to with metallic gray pigments, perfect for emulating the look of zinc.
This fine museum quality wax is based on an old family recipe. It is made from beeswax with a little carnauba wax. It is easy to apply, provides a durable finish with a beautiful lustre and has almost no odour.
How to use:
Zinc Wax may be applied directly over Milk Paint or Fusion Mineral Paint. You can also apply a coat of clear Miss Mustard Seed's Furniture Wax or Beeswax (clear) before you apply Zinc Wax. This will make the Zinc Wax a little more "workable" and it will be easier to remove the wax in areas where you want less.
Use one of our Wax Brushes or a clean microfibre cloth to apply wax in a very thin layer, working into recesses of carved details or surface imperfections.
Wipe away excess. Allow it to dry for 3-5 minutes.
Buff to a shine with a clean lint-free cotton cloth.
Clean wax from brushes using Odorless Solvent
Protect from freezing
